WHO WE WORK WITH
WORKPLACES & EMPLOYEES-PERSONAL FINANCE
Enhance the financial wellbeing of your team. According to the PWC financial awareness survey, 60% of employees say financial matters are their number 1 source of stress. When employees are financially stressed, they’re 2.2x more likely to leave and financial concerns make employees 4x more likely to be clinically depressed.
Chances are, your team, unless they are in finance-based roles, have been exposed to very little in terms of a financial education in the past. We can provide workplace training sessions and clinics to help your team feel more confident and secure with their personal finances. Teams equipped with financial literacy can make better career decisions and it can be a catalyst for career growth. Empower them to have a better understanding of their salary, their payslips, their pensions, their workplace benefits and other aspects of their compensation package.
On top of this, recruiting top talent is hard and increasingly competitive. Enhance your employer brand by providing financial training as a benefit and as part of your training and development offer.
WORKPLACES & EMPLOYEES-BUSINESS FINANCE
Unless they come from a finance background or work in a finance role, the odds are that your team have never received any 'formal' financial education. Financial literacy did not become part (albeit a VERY small part) of the national curriculum until 2014 so if they left school before this, they never would have received any financial education in school, especially not in terms of business finances.
Yet they now find themselves managing budgets, looking at profit and loss statements, being asked to explain cost variances, trying to figure out what it all means and trying to make the right decisions and not get in hot water with the boss!
We believe that for a business to be successful, its crucial for everyone who is a part of it to have an understanding of finance and the impact of their everyday actions and decisions on financial results.
SCHOOLS
Financial education enhances financial wellbeing and prepares students to understand and manage their incomes as adults. Many teachers and parents recognise the importance of financial education for preparing young people for the financial reality of life beyond the school gates.
We help school students to understand financial concepts in a fun, engaging and interactive way. Starting financial education early and including our workshops alongside pupils regular learning can help ensure finance does not become a daunting topic in later life.
We can also provide workshops to teachers, so they feel more confident and comfortable introducing financial topics in the classroom as part of students wider learning. Parent workshops are also available to guide parents on student loans and how they can complement students financial learning at home.
UNIVERSITIES
Young adults’ lives are changing fast, and money is central to this. They are suddenly faced with having to navigate student loans, managing their funds, and paying bills.
According to the money advice service, a large majority of young adults (85%) wish that they had been taught more about money management while they were at school or university and feel their life would be better as a result.
We can run sessions for students to give them the understanding they need and ensure they have the skills they need to be set up for success upon graduation. Better financial understanding can also enhance their employability prospects.
Economic and emotional wellbeing often go hand in hand. Financial literacy training for students can ensure they are less stressed and therefore more focused on their studies.
Our sessions are run by young professionals that the students can relate to.
BUSINESS OWNERS
Business ownership can be an incredibly rewarding experience. Whether you are new to the world of business, or you are a seasoned pro with many years’ experience, you can expect to encounter some confusion over your business’ finances, especially if you are not adequately advised and educated about key financial aspects.
The skill of understanding business finances can help business owners and managers make well-informed strategic decisions, identify potential opportunities, and help avoid undue risks.
You may already be working with an accountant that takes care of your tax and accounts filings, but you may struggle to understand the complex jargon they use to explain your accounts and you would like to have some coaching to feel more confident that you truly understand the finances of your business. We can provide this.
